Privacy Statement
Addiction Intervention takes the privacy of the people who contact us seriously. The nature of our work — helping families navigate substance use crises — means that the information shared with us is often deeply personal. This statement explains what we collect, how we use it, and the limits we place on ourselves.
Information we collect
When you contact us through this website, by phone, by text, or by email, we may collect:
- Your name and the name of the person you are seeking help for
- Contact information you choose to share (phone number, email address, location)
- Details you provide about the situation, including substance use history, family dynamics, and prior treatment
- Any documents, photos, or messages you send us
We do not run analytics on this site that build advertising profiles. We do not sell, rent, or trade any information you share with us. We do not share your information with treatment centers or any third party in exchange for referral fees or compensation.
How we use your information
We use the information you share solely to:
- Respond to your inquiry and help you understand your options
- Coordinate intervention services, family coaching, or treatment placement that you have asked us to arrange
- Communicate with the treatment providers, transport services, or clinicians you have specifically authorized us to contact on your behalf
We do not use your story, your name, or any identifying detail in marketing, social media, testimonials, or case studies without explicit, written permission from you.
Confidentiality
Conversations with our team are kept confidential within our staff. We treat every inquiry — even ones that do not move forward into services — as private.
There are narrow limits to confidentiality required by law and basic ethics: if we believe a person is in imminent danger of harming themselves or someone else, or if a child or vulnerable adult is being abused, we may be obligated to contact emergency services or appropriate authorities. We will tell you if we believe we are in that situation.
How we store information
Inquiries and case notes are stored in access-controlled systems used only by our staff. We retain records only as long as needed to provide services and meet any legal or professional obligations, and we delete or de-identify them after that period.
If you would like us to delete the information we hold about you, email us and we will do so, except where we are required to retain a record for legal or clinical-handoff reasons.
This website
This site uses only the cookies and storage needed for the site to function. We do not run third-party advertising trackers. If a future change to the site introduces analytics, we will update this statement before doing so and keep any data collection minimal and anonymized.
Links from this site to outside resources are provided for your convenience. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If a parent or guardian believes a child has shared information with us, please contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this statement
If we change this statement, we will update the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for a reasonable period.
